ABOUT ABOUT

The ever-curious and exploratory FAWN Chamber Creative announces Convergence Theory (co-curated by Amanda Smith and David Jones), a new concert series connecting classical and non-classical experimental electronic music creators and their audiences. Throughout the upcoming season, FAWN will produce concerts that feature talented Canadian visual artists, classical musicians, composers, and experimental electronic artists to lead concert-goers deeper into the moments. FAWN’s first Convergence Theory will be on Saturday, November 30 2019 at Victory Social Club on Dundas West, a neighbourhood where Toronto’s underground electronic music scene is in full swing.

FAWN’s first Convergence Theory concert puts a spotlight on the voice and features music by Rose Bolton (TO), James O’Callaghan (QC) and Doom Tickler (TO). Audiences can expect to hear a range of sonic possibilities for amplified vocal chords at FAWN’s first concert of the 2019/20 season. Filling the space with his surreal digital worlds will be Toronto-based visual artist Alex McLeod, with this work infusing the music and performances of each unique creator and surrounding some of Toronto’s most exciting new music performers, including tenor Jonathan MacArthur, soprano Rebecca Gray, double bassist Adam Scime, pianist Wesley Shen, cellist Amahl Arulanandam, flutist Amanda Lowry and more.

Advance tickets are $15 - $25. Rush tickets day of can be purchased at the door as available and are $20 - $25.
